WOODS

Consciousness adrift among the wild-sown oats of dreams,

Tantalizing future glimpses, misty, floating schemes,
Water flowing, trickle, splash, polished, crystal, glisten,

Bubble, spheroid, mortal film, foaming, lapping, listen!

Rustle, snap, faintly cry, of rupture, silent grief,

Wrinkled, spotted, skeletoned, fluttering, aged, withered leaf;
Creaking, shrieking, groaning, moaning, parting, flaking bark;

Laughing, crying, moving, sighing, bidding farewell, Hark!

Squawking, whistling, cooing, cawing, beating, buzzing, flap,

Softly bleating, purring, whining, trembling, blooming clap;
Patter, plop, clatter, clop, padding, rushing, scrambling,
Gnawing, gnashing, chewing, snapping, plodding, listening - rambling.
